- Measure the Space. Measure the vertical distance to be spanned.
- Establish the Upper Plate. Attach the included metal plate to the underside of the LVL beam.
- Attach Plate to Lally Column.
- Raise the Lally Column.
- Move Column Into Place.
- Further Raise the Lally Column.
- Remove the Lever.

Or you can drill and screw to the column. They might be hard to find but a long ‘Tek’ type screw could work. Alternatively anything that you can predrill and screw using some type of thread cutting screw would work. Or you can drill yourself a hole and tap it to 1/4″ or 5/16″ and use a machine bolt.
