Keep benzydamine away from your eyes. If your symptoms do not improve after 7 days, speak to a doctor, dentist or pharmacist about it. Do not use benzydamine for more than 7 days unless they say it is OK.
When should you not use Difflam?
Do not use Difflam rinse: – If you are allergic to benzydamine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6). An allergic reaction may include rash, itching, difficulty breathing or swelling of the face, lips, throat or tongue. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Difflam rinse.
What does Difflam oral rinse do?
Difflam Oral Rinse is a locally acting analgesic and anti-inflammatory treatment for the relief of painful inflammatory conditions of the mouth and throat including: Traumatic conditions: Pharyngitis following tonsillectomy or the use of a naso-gastric tube.
What happens if you swallow Difflam oral rinse?
✔️ Spit the rinse out after use, don’t swallow it (although accidental swallowing is unlikely to cause harm). ✔️ Difflam oral rinse should generally be used undiluted, but if you find it makes your mouth sting you can dilute it with an equal volume of water before use.
Can Difflam make your throat worse?
Allergic reactions, such as itching, rash, spasm of the throat or airways causing shortness of breath, or swelling of the face, throat or tongue are very rare side effects of Difflam spray. If you feel you have experienced an allergic reaction, stop using the spray and get medical advice immediately.

Difflam Anaesthetic, Antibacterial and Anti-inflammatory Lozenges can be used for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with pharyngitis, minor mouth infections, dental procedures and oral surgery.

Difflam throat and mouth spray is designed to provide relief for your pain incredibly quickly. By specifically spraying your the painful area with the spray nozzle you should feel your symptoms easing within a matter of days. Any soreness and inflammation symptoms should have reduced within a week.
Is it okay to drink water after taking Difflam?
It is recommended to avoid hot food or drink for one to two hours following use. Not recommended in children under the age of six years except under medical advice.
