How does it work? Fightlite re-engineered the AR-15’s recoil system to accommodate the angled semi-grip, using a system very similar to a Remington 1100 shotgun where the action spring angles down and runs through the grip. A few parts are even interchangeable between the 1100 and SCR, like the safety.
